Buendia MRT Station has jeepneys, buses, and taxicabs outside the station. Jeepneys that leave from the station head along Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia) for western Makati City, the Central Business District, and Pasay City.
There was a person whose face got stuck between the closing doors of a train car in an attempt to stop the doors from closing. Suffice to say, it was an embarrassing moment for that person, but it made everybody's day and still does. The person was not physically injured, but the same can not be said for his reputation.
Buendia came from two Spanish words, Buen and Dia which means "good" and "day", respectively. Also this can be traced back to an infamous college professor in an institute that can be found along the avenue of Buendia in which she drives the students in her class absolutely rabid and insane.
